reasons i like red

I want to say a really really really big thank you to Rebecca for including me {Red Seed} in her '3 Quick Questions'. Haven't you just so enjoyed reading about all these creatives who make up our wonderful world. I love getting little glimpses into people's lives, and especially about the creative-force in their lives.
Have a read of my answers here. I always find it strange reading things about myself, in that manner - but also really heart-warming. I love that I have rediscovered my crafting roots, and that I am in a nourishing and supportive community, where I'm able to (sort-of, kind-of) make a living out of this. Also, being asked questions like this makes me to think about the way I craft, and why I craft - and that's really an important part of who I am. My creative upbringing - it's in my blood!

More red work over here. I've been watching people start and make their  contribution to Kootoyoo's red quilt project. And I've just noticed that everyone has sent theirs in, and they are all photographed and displayed over here. Wouldn't you love to go and see them all - at the one night only display. If you live in Melbourne, get yourself there - and come back here and report, please.

a little bit about me

Primarily I am a mother. Also a wife, a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a friend.

I enjoy day-dreaming, sewing, exploring, thinking, photography, writing, learning, laughing, playing hide-and-seek, tickling, picking flowers and produce from our garden.

Sometimes I even have a moment to sit and just be still and quiet.
Currently I am starting my own little business, with my husband, of our own design work, sewing, embroidery, screenprinting, crafting. I am an artist / designer (of sorts). Please have a look at our work at Red Seed Studio.

Hopefully I can continue being a stay-at-home-mum.I am homeschooling my two children :: four-year Ari and 22month old Mischa. This dream of homeschooling and life-teaching may change as my children get older, but currently we are happy with no thoughts of the school-run!

Laughing and playing with my babes - who include my two little ones + my nephew, learning how to appreciate the afternoon sun colours, the leaves fallen on the streets, the new shoots growing in my garden, the simple words I read and hear, the spectacular moments my Little Ones give me every day.
